As the old saying goes ..... all roads lead to Rome. With the 2008/09 Champions League Final to be played in Rome on 27th May 2009, the journey on that road starts this week with the first group stage games in the UEFA Champions League.
The home based clubs (Celtic, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester Utd) all play on either Tuesday or Wednesday this week in the following fixtures:
Tuesday, 16 September 2008
Chelsea v Bordeaux, Group A, kick off at 19:45
Marseille v Liverpool, Group D, kick off at 19:45
Wednesday, 17 September 2008
Celtic v AaB, Group E, kick off at 19:45
Dynamo Kiev v Arsenal, Group G, kick off at 19:45
Manchester Utd v Villarreal, Group E, kick at off 19:45
