After a second classic men's Wimbledon final battle in a row, the Wimbledon 2009 title was finally won by Roger Federer after he beat Andy Roddick in 5 sets ( 5–7, 7–6, 7–6, 3–6 and 16–14 ) in a mammoth match.
The match was the longest men's singles final ever (in terms of games played), with 77 games played (and 30 games in the final set!)
With the 2009 Wimbledon title under his belt, Federer has now won 15 Grand Slam titles, which is more than any other male tennis player.
